[It's his grand debut to the network and he's looking fine, mostly thanks to a glamour that gives his clothes a little more pizazz than the robots can manage. He's sitting at his kitchen counter, chin resting artfully on the back of one hand, inspecting the nails of the other nonchalantly.]

Soooo, say I have a proposal for something that's mmmm-- [He pops his lips a few times as he thinks] --mega fun and a great way to, y'know, fill up the hours that we're stuck in this place. Oh, and it's useful for everyone, natch, can't introduce a product without letting you know that every single one of you can get some sort of use out of it. So say I got this awesome idea, but need a little help in the whole development portion, who can I get to help little ol' me out with that, huh?

Anyone here good at coding or doing nerdy computer shit? I got the idea and know exactly how I want it to go down, but, while I'm a baller wizard and a chef [and a scientist, but who needs to know that part, right?] I'm not exactly saavy with this whole [He gestures at the communicator camera.] thing. The coding thing. Making apps and shit wasn't Taako's deal, ya dig?

So? Anyone out there wanna help me spruce up this place or what?

I mean, sure. [He snorts and laughs.]

I'm not gonna police how people want to use it. You want friends? Boom, the app'll work for that. You want someone to just hold hands with you for an hour? Yup, our app'll do that, too. You want a booty call at 2AM after some drunken bender post break-up? We got the app for that.

[ His examples escalate, and by the last one she's openly giggling. Two AM booty call, turning a breakup into a hookup. Nice. That will certainly encourage more touch! ]

It will help with those who are lonely, if nothing else... [ A pause. ] And who knows, maybe you'll be the first to match with a handsome man here!

See? I'm being super magnanimous here or whatever. Just trying to help my fellow kidnap victims find their perfect match!

[He waves the spatula and the illusion dissipates as he grins.]

And yeah, doubt that'll happen, but you never know. Maybe my tall, dark, and handsome'll show up. Maybe not.

[ Sure, sure, she’ll indulge in a bit of gossip as she already begins to draft the app. ]

Everyone here is literally either a baby or taken, or some weird floating ball. And Taako's into a lot of weird shit, but that ain't one of them.

[He shrugs and while she works, he turns back to his work. The peaches are done, so time to start converting the berries into actual strawberries.]

Or female. Which again, sorry, but that's a non-starter for me.

[ She looks up from her communicator just in time to see him alter another peach. ] Please, that warrants an apology to Magolor first before anyone else!

[ By the way she laughs, however, she’s only joking. ]

[He snorts indelicately and starts dropping purple berries into a bowl, each one turning red and plump as soon as they leave his hand.]

Hardly. He knows what a little weirdo he is and he probably likes it.

[ Magolor, if she had to guess, is also probably into weird things too. ] The two of you just might just end up matching... [ She jokes airily, chuckling soon after.

But this does make her consider: ]

If you swipe left on him, [ Or anyone, really. ] do I program that as a permanent “not interested”...?

UGH no please don't even joke about that.

[He sighs dramatically, falling onto the counter like Scarlett O'Hara in the midst of an episode.]

And I guess, not permanent unless you swipe left more than once. Just because you're looking for one thing one day doesn't mean you might not change your interests later. Humans are fickle.

[ She adds that bit in, nodding. ] Very true... and some preferences can change, the more one explores...

[ Today, Taako, you might not be into floating ball-people. But tomorrow who knows.

Pyra is definitely going to be putting her preferences as everything and anything, without knowing any better. ] If nothing else, this will give people the ability to explore and [ A pause, and she continues quietly, ] connect with others.

But that's what I'm hoping it'll do. Get those homebodies and shy ones out and about, get them meeting people, strengthen the community, yada yada, the whole shebang. [And money for him, plz.]

[ Homebodies... like himself, she thinks quietly. She’s been here for months and this is the first time she’s meeting with him. ] Absolutely doable.

[ She beams, setting down her communicator. ] I’ll contact you for the beta testing, mm?

Sounds like a plan.

[He gives her a thumbs up and then picks up a peach, tossing it her way.]
